The group's principal activities are to develop, design, manufacture, market and distribute copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable products. The group operates in three segments: energy, industrial and specialty and communications. The energy segment manufactures and sells wire and cable products, which include low, medium and high voltage power distribution and power transmission products for overhead and buried applications. The industrial and specialty segment manufactures and sells wire and cable products for use in a wide variety of capital goods and consumer uses. The communications segment manufactures and sells wire and cable products for voice, data and video transmission applications, multi-conductor/multi-pair and fiber optic cables used for computer and telephone interconnections. The group manufactures its product lines in 27 facilities and sells its products worldwide through its operations in North America, Europe and oceania.
